1st Anniversary

Reuben and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary this past weekend. It's hard to beleive its been a year since that day in the garden.

We went to a Ceramics Village for the weekend and took part in making some pottery. We each made three pieces, which will be fired, glazed and then mailed to us. We cant wait to see our creations!

Reuben wrote music to the song he wrote for our wedding, along with a verse about our first year together. We praise God for this amazing, exciting, and challanging year in Korea. We thank all of our friends and family for your love and support!

World's Biggest Hammock

This big huge net is usually used to catch hundreds of little golf balls. But not tonight. Oh no! It was used as a toy for four not so little boys.

Fred and Eunju

Our good friends, Fred and Eunju, were back and now gone again. Fred had a project to complete at his old job, so they were home for a month. They have gone back to Austrailia now to find work and live a better life. We might just have to take a trip to Austrailia to see them again.

PaintBalln'

We took Scot paintballing for his birthday. Happy Birthday Scot!
We gathered as many foreigners as we could for this survival game. With little protection and some Korean/English instruction, they put us in the woods to battle it out.

You wanna go?
Come get me!

Here is our team, yes Reuben and I were drafted on the same team. Red vs. Yellow.

Korean Folk Village

There is lots to see and do at the Korean Folk Village. You can do everything from being guests at a Korean style wedding, watching horse vaulting, eating amazing food, watching local craftsmen and experiencing the way Koreans used to live. This is a traditional folk dance we watched.
Here we have some extreme tee-ter-ta-ters.
And a tight rope walker.

At the end of the day our legs were tired and our stomachs were hungry, we were ready for a good Korean meal of Kalbi.

Come on Oilers

We are cheering for the Oilers all the way over here in South Korea. Reuben has even got our american friend, Koetje, to be a fan. Look at the quality picture! Thanks to our brother Matty and Hagar parents Reuben can watch the games on our computer through Skypes webcam.

Rise and Shine Reuben! He would get up for 5am if he had to!

A Hazy Dusty Day

This is a photo taken from our apartment window on a clear day.

This same view, but on a typical day. With our dust storms and pollution, we rarely see blue skies around here in the Spring and Summer.
