Adventure Teaching

We have an entrepreneur in the family! That’s right, Reuben and his partner Scot Sustad are putting their efforts into getting a business setup to recruit teachers to South Korea. There is a large market for teachers here, to teach in schools, academies and universities. Everyone wants to learn English, and they want to learn from people whose first language is English.

Reuben and I would recommend this adventure to almost anyone. We have had an extraordinary and fulfilling year and a half – with more to go. A huge reason why its been so enjoyable for us is because we have worked at reliable and admirable schools. Get in touch with us if you are interested or know anyone who is. We have lots of information on our website or email us.

Happy Birthday Reuben!

The day began with sparkling apple juice, pancakes, bacon and eggs.

It continued with lots of birthday wishes from students and staff at school.

It moved into a romatic dinner at Marco Polo restuarant on the 54th floor of Korea's World Trade Center (with a incredible view!).
And it ended with a Cookies and Cream chocolate fondu at home!

Ping Pong with Tae Young

Reuben learned quite a bit from his year of ping pong school. He play regularly with his friend Tae Young, a fun hobbie fro Reub. Reuben can speak more Korean than Tae Youn can speak English so they usually converse in Korean.
Get your game on, go play!
Smack it!
Good Form!
Reuben wins again!!! Tae Young has only taken a few games off Reuben. Now Tae Young has started bringing his friends around to challange Reuben!

Good Old Friends!

Christmas with the Zuidhofs

The New Year was brought in with a gingerbread house decorating contest - Girls vs. Guys

The Girls: A depiction of a modern nativity scene. Mary and Joseph are propped beside the inn where there was no room.

The Guys: It looks a little tippy to me... but the lamp post is a nice touch.

Some family bowling - girls against guy again. We wont tell who won. It's been a while since we've played good ol'5 pin.

A hike to Bridal Falls with the siblings!

Christmas with the Hagars!

Reueben and I arrived about 11pm, from a 46 hour journey from the Philippines... and what are busy doing... a ginerbread house!
Christmas Day with the family. We spent the morning at home with the grandparents, opening stockings, reading the bible and eating breakfast. The afternoon was filled with fun with more family.
