BHCS Sports Day

Reuben and the Student's Council organized a sports day for the school this past week. We played basketball, dodgeball, and bucket ball.

we also planned some mission relays for the teams. they had to do things like the crab walk, piggyback, sink a basket and the wheelbarrow race. The kids really enjoyed the time outside playing with eachother and the teachers.

piggy back relay... you can do it ju ho! go team yellow!

we ended the day with some donuts and juice. juan and haejin are really enjoying the snack.

Anyang Soccer Team

Reuben started playing in a foreigner league here. He is excited about being able to play sports again, after a long long rehab with his knee. The season has just begun... so you know what i'm going to be doing sunday afternoons ALL spring. Reuben has an amazing powerhouse throw-in to offer his team. That's my boy!

OPPS!

Today I was feeling a little bored with my hair so tried something new. Velcro curlers. I did some damage to my hair when a few of them took a longer to get out then I wanted. And as you can see I used curlers that were way too small. And to make matters a little worse we were late to meet friends, so all i could do was throw on a hat. I hid the bangs part (also known as a birds nest) under the hat and we were off. Reuben and Koetke sure had a good laugh about it.

It's been awhile, hey?

And look what I spotted here... when was the last time you saw overalls, on a man, and with one strap off. It's been awhile hey?

Korean Pro B-Ball

Our friend Song Bae took us out to a basketball game this afternoon. Sk telecome against Dae Gu Warriors. The staduim was full of fans from both sides. We were sitting in the SK section, so we cheered for them.

Here are the guys, Tae Jeun, Frank and Song Bae (from left to right)

The cheering squad all the way up in the stands ... SK clap clap clap, SK clap clap clap...

And then we went out for some jeum-dak (korean style chicken stirfry) with song bae and his brother. Song bae leaves for PEI, Canada this week to study English for a year. We hope to see him in Canada some day.

Bye-Bye Dan and Kath

Our good friends Danny and Kathryn have left Korea. They lived here for a full year. We didn't think they'd make it but they were troopers through their bad school and finished off with a horray!

We celebrated their time here with a night at all-you-can-eat Carne Staion. Good food and fun times!

And then we ended the evening with some norre-bong (Singing Room) action. We will miss their faces around here and look forward to living near them someday back home.
