Can you believe it!?!
Reuben took a very big and painful fall in last Sunday's soccer match. It wasn't until Monday morning that he decided to see a doctor. The first doctor wanted to operate on both his wrists, but Reuben wouldn’t have it. The next doctor wanted to cast both his wrists, but Reuben wouldn't have it. So they compromised - his left wrist is in a cast, for what the doctor said would be 12 weeks and the other wrist is in a splint, that Reuben wears when we feels like it.
Reuben and Sarah Jane came to Korea in 2005 to teach English. In 2006 Reuben started a business with Scot called Adventure Teaching while Sarah Jane continued to teach. In 2008 Sarah Jane, still teaching, began her MA TESOL. In 2009 we are still here, doing our thing and doing His thing.

Birthday Getaway
For my birthday, Reuben took me to the little pension (cabin type place) out in the countryside. It was a wonderful little spot to relax and enjoy the beatiful weather.
There was a tree with hanging hearts... where all the couples who have stayed here write notes about their... love... maybe? i don't realy know, but it was funny.
This was the little cabin that we stayed in. It came complete with a western bed, tv, washroom and woodstove.

update from the past five months
A little update: what we have been up to since Christmas.
We said goodbye to two of our best friends, Scot and Kimberley. We lived together in Korea for 2 years, traveled with them all over the world, and experiened so much life and friendship with them! It was a very difficult goodbye.
Our friends Mitch and Sunny got married June 6th. I hosted a "western style" shower for Sunny at our aparment, and together with her friends and family we spoiled her with gifts.
We are looking forward to being home for the summer. Our travels are taking us to Seattle, San Diego, Toronto and BC. We will be coming back to Korea at the end of August, so Reuben can continue building his company in Korea, and so that I can continue teaching at Big Heart Christian School. In July I am starting graduate school at Trinity Western University. I will be studying a MA TESOL program while continuing to teach next year.

We tried to get to a few of the Korean festivals this spring. One of which was called the Hi Seoul Festival.
Reuben continued to play for the Anyang Soccer Team. He is crowned within the league as the player with the longest throw-in! We had the pleasure of hosting our friends from Toronto, Angela and Andy. They were visiting for 5 days, so we toured most of Seoul, ate lots of Korean food, and sang out hearts out at a norae-bong (singing room)!

Reuben and his partner Scot continued to be busy investing time into their business. Adventure Teaching is now a registered corporation and has one and a half employees. Reuben is down to just one job now, since our school year ended June 5th.

See you all Soon!
