A Day on the Slopes

We jumped on the opportunity to go skiing this weekend. Our friend Carmen, who works for Hyundai, got us a deal for a room, rentals and lefts this past weekend at Sungwoo Hyundai Resort.

It's been two years since Reuben and I have hit the slopes. After our years in university taking full advantage of the students prices and mountains we missed it a lot. It didn't quiet compare but it sure was fun.

We went expecting the worst... millions of people, ice and 3 second runs. We were pleasantly surprised by the short lines, on and off snowfall and tall hills. Can you see the massive TV screen to the right?

Here is the crew we went with, Dave, Reub, Koetje and Scot.

Later in the evening we watched a dance show/concert thing and fire works. At one point the host asked the crowd who traveled the furthest that day. Reuben got the hosts attention by yelling, wayguk (foreign person). Reuben was then invited up on stage, asked where is was from and what he does here in Korea. Then was presented with the winnings - a pair or gloves.
