Reuben and Sarah Jane came to Korea in 2005 to teach English. In 2006 Reuben started a business with Scot called Adventure Teaching while Sarah Jane continued to teach. In 2008 Sarah Jane, still teaching, began her MA TESOL. In 2009 we are still here, doing our thing and doing His thing.

Hagar Parents Visit Korea!
Mom and Dad had to adverture on the massive subway system for their first time without us. Mom said they got lost, but Dad said we wanted to take the long route.
A visit to AClass Academy. Some of our staff, our boss is the one the left. Our parents got to watch some classes - and witness why i love my little monkey kinders so much!
Yonggi Cho's Full Gospel Church in Seoul, Korea. This is the biggest church in the world. Began about 50 years ago with 5 people. There are 11 services a week, 8 are on Sunday. Each service holds an attendance of about 15000 people. "If your 15 minutes early, your late!"
A day in Insadong with the parents - a quaint little strip of shopping, antique stores and art gallaries.
My Dad was stopped for an interview and asked about the positive and negative experiences of his visit so far. He is a star!
Kalbi! We enjoyed our favorite meal with some of our friends here and of course the folks.
Hagar - Visit to Jeju
Jeju Island is just off the south coast of Korea. It is an hour plane ride from Seoul. We took Friday off and had a little holiday with the folks. It is a volcanic island, so the landscape is similar to that of Hawaii - black lava rock, white sand and blue/green water. Here is a one of the several craters. We (good work mom!) climbed to the ridge of this one!
We are nearing the top - taking a little breather to rest and enjoy the view!
Testing the strength of our feet - Reuben and I managed to make it around the whole course, mom made it about half way, and dad didn't even try!
These "grandfathers" are everywhere on the island - they come in all sizes. They represent Korean ancestors who are watching over us.
The highest mountian in Korea, Halla San, is located on Jeju Island. Dad, Reuben and I hiked a couple hours trying to find the crater lake - it was never to be found by us. We did reach the end of the path to see this view. Behind me is the peak of Halla Mountian.

Hagar - Visit to Jeju 2
This island has the longest lava tube in the world - 13000 meters long. What you see at the end of this tube is a lava waterfall. So Cool!
Here is a living legend: a female diver. For thousands of years these ladies have been intrusted with the job of diving for different types of seaweed. They go with only a wetsuit, bag and knife.
Everywhere you go there seems to be seaweed drying out. It was usually drying out on the side of the road.
Jeju is a volcanic island. They have been very creative with the lava rock, using it for everything from fences around houses, separating farm land, steps and even buildings.
Beautiful Jeju.
Family picture on the white sandy beach - We are missing Matty.
Another common thing drying is squid. Mmmm squid jerky! The average Korean intakes 200lbs of squid a year.
