Our friends Scot and Kim had a BBQ on the roof of their apartment building this weekend. We had a great time relaxing in the sun on Sunday.
Reuben and Sarah Jane came to Korea in 2005 to teach English. In 2006 Reuben started a business with Scot called Adventure Teaching while Sarah Jane continued to teach. In 2008 Sarah Jane, still teaching, began her MA TESOL. In 2009 we are still here, doing our thing and doing His thing.

Here is a picture of some good friends of ours. Myron and Becky, and their little girl, Charlie. Wow, our friends are having babies. Myron and Becky moved out to Arizona to be closer to family and so that Mryon could pursue a career in mortgage and investments. We will miss them when we move back to Canada.
Welcome to Sanbon, Korea Mom and Dad! We are standing, overlooking of our downtown, our apartment is the building on the right. We can't believe that both of our parents came to visit. We feel so lucky.
Mom and Dad had to adverture on the massive subway system for their first time without us. Mom said they got lost, but Dad said we wanted to take the long route.

A day in Insadong with the parents - a quaint little strip of shopping, antique stores and art gallaries.

My Dad was stopped for an interview and asked about the positive and negative experiences of his visit so far. He is a star!
Kalbi! We enjoyed our favorite meal with some of our friends here and of course the folks.

We are nearing the top - taking a little breather to rest and enjoy the view!

Testing the strength of our feet - Reuben and I managed to make it around the whole course, mom made it about half way, and dad didn't even try!
These "grandfathers" are everywhere on the island - they come in all sizes. They represent Korean ancestors who are watching over us.

The highest mountian in Korea, Halla San, is located on Jeju Island. Dad, Reuben and I hiked a couple hours trying to find the crater lake - it was never to be found by us. We did reach the end of the path to see this view. Behind me is the peak of Halla Mountian.

Everywhere you go there seems to be seaweed drying out. It was usually drying out on the side of the road.
Jeju is a volcanic island. They have been very creative with the lava rock, using it for everything from fences around houses, separating farm land, steps and even buildings.
Beautiful Jeju.
Family picture on the white sandy beach - We are missing Matty.

Another common thing drying is squid. Mmmm squid jerky! The average Korean intakes 200lbs of squid a year.
